As a cat owner, I have already tried different brands and types of enclosed cat playpens. Most of them are not so good as they are either not sturdy enough, too difficult to assemble, or too small for my cats. Among the cat playpens I have tried, I can surmise that the only good manufacturer is Aivituvin but there are plenty of others too. Their cat playpen looks like a mini house that has a perfectly designed environment for a cat’s psychological wellness. Every detail is considered in their products, which is not a surprise because Aivituvin is a company created by cat owners.

The reviews of this cage on Amazon are average and based on my experience, I agree with that.
Quality
The entire cat cage is made of metal. The materials look sturdy though it feels like they are not high-grade. The door lock doesn’t seem to last long, so make sure you have alternatives for that. I bought carabiners for mine.
Overall, my cats were able to use the cage without disruptions due to the cage’s materials so I guess it is okay.
Designed Specifically For Cats
My cats enjoy going up and down on each platform. Although, I find the platform a bit small compared to other cat cages and playpens I’ve tried. You can still improvise your platforms though as there are metals reinforced to hold the panels.
Since it is spacious inside, I was able to place an average-sized cat tree in the cage. My cats loved it much better as they have more things to do inside.
Safety For Cats
The platforms are stable so I can say that the cats are safe to roam around inside. I only have issues with the door lock. If you want to ensure that your cats stay inside the cage, you can use carabiners as I did.
Assembly Difficulty
I was able to assemble the cage on my own despite its large size. The instructions in the manual is a bit confusing at first but I was able to figure it out after giving it some thought.

This cat enclosure is ideal for three to five cats (depending on size). The outside material is made of solid firwood so it is definitely stable and strong. Assembly Difficulty
The cat enclosure already includes all the panels, rods, latches, and screws. The holes are pre-drilled so you only need to put everything together and prepare your screwdriver. It also comes with an easy-to-understand manual. Mine took almost an hour and I had someone to help me build the enclosure with.

Another cage-type playpen is the Amazon Basics Large Kennel. It is a three-tier cat playpen, made of durable steel wire and coated with a black rust-resistant E-coat finish. It has three removable plastic leak-proof floor pans and two swing-open doors. It is spacious and measures 35.8 inches (length) x 22.4 inches (height) x 50.6 inches (width). Even though it has many positive reviews, it’s not my favorite.
