Maven Collar Review: A Cat Owner’s Honest Opinion

What Is Maven Collar?

Maven Collar is a pet innovative device that collects and analyzes data about your pet’s activity, sleep, and behavior. Using Wifi, the device uploads this data to the cloud where it can be analyzed by a team of veterinary experts. This data can then be used to provide personalized recommendations for improving your pet’s well-being, identifying potential health problems, and guiding you on how best to address any issues that arise. In addition to tracking activity and sleep, the Maven Collar may also be able to track vocalizations in the future (they are currently working on it). Overall, the purpose of the Maven Collar is to provide pet owners with valuable insights into their pet’s health and behavior, allowing them to make informed decisions and improve their pet’s quality of life.

At this point, everyone is busy with work or something else, and it’s hard to keep track of what your pet does at home but with the newest high-technology Maven Collar this all changes. As the collar is AI-powered, it will automatically keep track of your dog and cat’s health and well-being. It works for both, dogs and cats but I tested the collar on my cat.

The Unboxing

At first glance, you will already fall in love with its packaging as you can tell it is quality-made and high-end just from it. As you unbox the product, it comes with its user manual and the activity colalr itself, and Maven home station, where everything you need to know is in the manual, or you can also check the website.

Just like any regular cat activity tracking collar, attaching the collar to your pet was easy, but I loved its custom fit and design for your cat.

How Does Maven Collar Do Its Work?

Like any regular cat smart collar, it is attached to your pet dog’s or cat’s neck and is typically used for fashion or identification. Still, Maven Collar is not just any regular collar but a high-technology collar that helps you gain information regarding your buddy’s health and well-being.

The Maven Collar has artificial intelligence, which sends detailed data on your pet’s behavior and daily activity, such as sleeping and eating, to your Maven Vet, which helps them study their health. If there’s anything wrong, they will notify you immediately of how it’s affecting your pet and what you can do next.  

Most pet owners leave their pets alone at home, and you cannot monitor your pet’s behavior and health, but this is where Maven Collar comes in.

Since the collar has artificial intelligence doing its work for you, even if you’re not at home, it will continue to send information to you and your Maven Vet. Maven Vet will use the data to study your pet’s behavior which will monitor your buddy’s health and well-being even if you’re away.

As a cat owner, you will tell something is wrong if their behavior is somewhat new to you or if they are doing something they don’t do all day. If you notice, it might be too late.

Still, with Maven Collar, since it closely monitors your pet’s activity, it will immediately inform you of the anomaly in your pet’s health and well-being and what you can do to appease it or help them.

This not only applies to cats but to the dog as well, where having a Maven Collar that monitors them for you will be very beneficiary to you and your buddy. 

Setting Up the Collar 

Installing and setting up the collar was a no-brainer as you need to follow the instructions in the included user manual, scan the QR code or install it via searching in the app store and pair the collar to your device.

You can pair it with your device while the collar is on your pet’s neck and adjust it accordingly. Sadly, the Maven Collar needs to be paired with an IOS device as the application doesn’t support any other operating system; without an IOS device, you won’t be able to use the device. 

My Overall Experience with Maven Collar

The Maven Collar was great for my cat and me. I understand her activity and sleeping cycles now.

I believe this will be very helpful when my cat is sick, as I can ask the vet what I should do and avoid my cat’s sickness. Also, the vet can even monitor the collar sending them data on my cat’s behavior and activities since they communicate through those and body language.

Initially, there wasn’t a single thing that I could think of on things I didn’t like about the Maven Collar. The only thought in mind is: why was t this was only created now and not sooner, and why it’s only available for IOS users? I hope soon this will also be made available for different operating systems so that anyone can use this. 

Tracking Our Cat Well-Being 

The thing I love about Maven Collar is that it alerts me every time my cat wants some love and petting and when she does not want it and wants some personal space. As humans, we don’t know how to communicate with them directly, so we only rely on their behavior to read them. 

Maven Collar app was designed and programmed to help us understand them better and monitor our buddy’s well-being, which is a massive leap towards understanding them better. 

And although I still haven’t tried this one based on my pet’s insurance, telehealth is available 24/7. It is excellent since I have all the necessary public communications for consultations. I also like that I can ask anything that I don’t know about my cat from my vet directly via the app. 

Pricing

In the eyes of the other Maven Collar, it might be pricey but I don’t think so. The device itself is free, but you need to but a subscription.

Still, for me, and for what it’s worth, I can pretty much say it is fair and cheap since you have all the means to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself and your pet and give the best love you can give to your pet which is “insurance” and also that telehealth is available 24/7 any day at any time. 

Conclusion

These collars could not be available by anyone but should be available to everyone who wants to take care of their pets. This is for your pet and yourself, as you will be assured of 100% taking care of your buddy. 

Overall, the future of pet healthcare is here, and what more could you ask for? In the past, communication was hard for pets, but with this, you would have all the means of communicating with them, understanding what they want and need, and taking care of your buddy’s well-being.
